The West´s Relationship to the State of Israel – the Peak of Hypocrisy

When I think of Israel´s crimes against the Palestinian people, I can´t even describe my feelings of frustration.

It´s not that there aren´t many other areas in the world where people are oppressed, murdered in bombing raids and other war-crimes and their human rights violated. There are indeed.

What sickens me so much, and what frustrates so many other people around the world as well, is the utter magnitude of hypocrisy, which can be seen in the double standards the western political establishment employs towards Israel´s actions as compared towards the actions of any other country in the world.

For over 60 years all of western Europe, the US, Canada and Australia have supported a country, which at every term has broken all international rules and laws that have ever been set.

Europeans and Americans are incessantly lecturing other countries for their human rights violations. Nato countries even take themselves the law into their own hands and interfere “for humanitarian reasons” into other countries affairs to end human rights violations.

And then those crusaders for human rights support Israel.

For over 60 years Israel has committed unimaginable war-crimes and crimes against humanity.

Israel committed massacres against unarmed Palestinians, Lebanese, Egyptians and Syrians.

Israel employs politicians who are so openly racist that you rarely find more racist people among the members of the “Arian nations” party. Some participants in their governments are religious fanatics who advocate biblical genocide, to cleanse the area of historic Palestine of all non-Jews.

Israel arrested the democratically elected leadership of the Palestinian people, or they just assassinated them. And still it calls itself a “democracy”.

And still despite of all this European, American and Canadian and  Australian government have been Israel´s allies since it´s founding in 1948.  And if you say a word of criticism in any of those countries you are  called an “Antisemite”.

In it´s last bombing-spree against the people of Gaza,after a two-year blockade of it´s people who are locked into the only left-over open-air concentration camp in the world, Israel was murdering men, women and children alike, destroying homes, farms, schools and mosques.

And afterwards   Israel hinders any kind of reconstruction-work by blocking all imports of  building materials. Israel also blocks imports of sufficient food and medical supplies as well as other goods to provide some kind of normal life in Gaza.

European and American politicians protest vaguely, while still assuring Israel of their undying solidarity.

At the moment Israel´s military has entered and taken over a boat with food and medical supplies for the people of Gaza, kidnapping Cynthia McKinney, a former member of the American Congress and some other human right workers.

When the Iranians arrested 9 Iranian nationals working for the British embassy (8 of them have been released in the mean-time) the in addition to the British government, the whole western political community cried out loud immediately, when an American politician is kidnapped by Israel, there comes not a peep from the Obama government, or any other of the western governments, for that matter.

Just after the whole western establishment protested Iran´s management of the post-election protests, nobody in the political establishment cares about Israel´s “management” of the world´s solidarity toward the incarcerated Gaza-Palestinians, a solidarity shown in the actions of the few courageous individuals on their little boat and in the gifts of the many compassionate donors.

Israel seems to have the permission by the western political class to stand above international laws and human ethics.

Israel was allowed to kidnap the “Spirit of Humanity”.

But the spirit of humanity can never really be broken. It will even survive the oppression of a criminal apartheit-state called Israel.
